About Margaret

Margaret A. Alexander was born December 30, 1931 to Orval and Lillie (Nelson) Huff in Melford, Mo. She married Homer F. Alexander on September 2, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas. They had two children, Kathy Benskin and Karen Crowe, and three grandchildren; Sheryl Miller, Ashlee Alexander and Marc Crowe, Jr., and one great-grandchild, Kiera Alexandera Miller. Margaret was a wonderful woman, beautiful inside and out. She worked 25 years at Frontenac Head Start as a cook so her kids and grandkids would never want for anything. She was loving, devoted and selfless, always putting her family before her own needs.  There has never been, nor will there ever be another like her. She will be missed not only by her family, but by everyone who knew her.

Did you know?

Margaret loved her husband and was devoted one-hundred percent to him and her family. She went to work at Frontenac Head-Start in 1973 as a cook and retired on November 18, 1999 (her husband's birthday). She loved every child who came through the center. She fed them breakfast, lunch and snacks five days a week throughout the school year, but nourished them with more than just food. She always had a hug, a smile and a kind word for each and every child. She loved crossword puzzles, scrabble and solitaire. She was also a "ghostbuster", spending hours on end researching family lineage. She loved to travel. She loved to "window shop" and  to go yard saling. She loved life and even though she had some very trying times she always had a positive attitude, never faltering from her Christian beliefs. She loved the old-time hymns, and always made a joyful noise unto the Lord. Most of all, she loved Jesus, and is now wrapped in His loving arms, living in eternal peace and harmony.
